The Kerala high court has directed for completing the pending hydroelectric projects in the state within the prescribed time period.
A division bench comprising chief justice S Manikumar and justice Shaji P Chaly issued the directive on a petition (WP-C No. 33239/2017) filed by Jacob Jose of Kozhikode through advocate Anitha Mathai Muthirenthy. The petitioner was aggrieved by the delay in commissioning Pallivasal extension scheme, Thottiyar hydro electric project, Chathankottunda II SHEP, and Wanchiyam SHEP even after a lapse of two decades.
